Salary: £54,793 - £60,326 – depending on experience

What you’ll be doing:
Capturing, managing and delivering fault investigations workload, allocating to team members, and monitoring of progress
Leading Airworthiness equipment and system fault investigations requested by Customer or other stakeholders, this includes engagement with Vendors and other specialist teams
Preparing and issuing fault investigation reports, ensuring they are technically correct, and they are supported by technical advice from the appropriate specialist teams and the Vendor
Provisioning fault investigation technical expertise to the Airworthiness team, including mentoring and coaching junior engineers, to develop the fault investigation capability
Carrying out outward reporting and escalation of fault investigation delivery or technical issues to Airworthiness management
Engaging with other fault investigators to review good practice across BAE Systems Air(UK) programmes, and to recommend updates to process to embody bast practice
Your skills and experiences:
Degree or equivalent experience in an engineering discipline
Previous experience of equipment fault investigation
Previous experience of Hawk or Fast Jet aircraft systems
Beneficial knowledge, skills and qualifications for this role include knowledge of (one or more): Engineering integration, Systems engineering, Airframe engineering or Airworthiness

The BAE Systems Hawk Airworthiness team:
The Hawk Airworthiness team is responsible for the flight certification of the Hawk Air System, including production of an independent safety judgement, and continued airworthiness of the in-service Hawk aircraft. As part of the Continued Airworthiness function within this team, you will work with dedicated specialist engineers who provide flight safety analysis and monitoring of defects and emergent issues, as well as assurance and promulgation of the response to mitigate unsafe conditions.
