We are seeking an organized and experienced Grounds Manager to oversee the grounds operations at our client's facility. The Grounds Manager will be responsible for ensuring the grounds are maintained to the highest standards, managing a team of groundskeepers, and coordinating with other departments to support the overall facility operations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and extensive knowledge of landscaping and grounds maintenance.
Annual Salary Range: $55,000 - $70,000 – The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Essential Functions:
Team Management:
Supervise, train, and manage a team of groundskeepers and landscaping staff.
Schedule and assign daily tasks and projects, ensuring efficient use of resources and timely completion of work.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and coaching to team members.
Grounds Maintenance snow:
Oversee the maintenance of lawns, gardens, trees, shrubs, and other landscaping elements to ensure a well-kept appearance.
Develop and implement maintenance schedules, including mowing, trimming, fertilizing, watering, pest control, and snow removal.
Ensure all equipment and tools are properly maintained and in good working order.
Safety & Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to grounds maintenance and landscaping.
Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to protect staff and visitors.
Conduct regular safety training and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
Budget & Inventory Management:
Manage the grounds maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, ordering materials as needed to support operations.
Monitor and control expenses to stay within budgetary constraints.
Coordination & Communication:
Collaborate with other departments and facility management to coordinate grounds maintenance activities and support facility events and projects.
Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders to address concerns and ensure satisfaction.
Prepare and present reports on grounds maintenance activities, progress, and issues to management.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping, preferred at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of horticultural practices, plant care, landscaping, and snow removal techniques.
Experience with grounds maintenance equipment and tools, including mowers, trimmers, plows and other snow removal equipment.
Licenses:
Valid Driver's License.
Relevant certifications such as Certified Grounds Manager (CGM) or Pesticide Applicator License preferred.
Working Environment:
This position involves working outdoors in various weather conditions. Must be able to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and operating grounds maintenance equipment. Availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
