Position: Senior Building Envelope Consultant - Design

We are looking to add an experienced and knowledgeable Senior Building Envelope Consultant to our team. A successful candidate will have a deep understanding of building envelope systems, including design, materials, and performance analysis. You will play a key role in assessing, designing, and providing expert recommendations to ensure high-performing, durable building envelopes. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with in-house engineers and architects while working on a variety of projects, with potential for growth and advancement within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct assessments and analysis of building envelope systems for new and existing structures.

Develop detailed design solutions and specifications for building envelope components.

Perform forensic investigations related to building envelope failures and deficiencies.

Provide technical expertise on materials, thermal performance, moisture management, and air barriers.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate envelope systems with overall building design.

Participate in client meetings, site visits, and construction administration to ensure quality and compliance.

Stay up to date with industry trends, codes, and best practices related to building envelope design.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.

A minimum of 15+ years of experience in building envelope consulting or a related discipline.

Strong knowledge of building envelope materials, systems, and performance evaluation techniques.

Experience with forensic investigations, diagnostics, and failure analysis.

Proficiency in design software and building performance modeling tools.

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively in a team environment.

Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Valid driver’s license required.
