SUMMARY:

The Operations Department is responsible for the overall look and appearance of all Venues, Auxiliary spaces and grounds, as well as all Conversions and events that take place in the arena and conference rooms. Custodial Crew Leads are responsible for assisting and leading crew teams in the cleaning and custodial services for all Venues and Auxiliary spaces, events and activities. Applicants must be dependable, flexible, have a positive attitude, and able to work well with others. The work requires a varied work schedule and falls under the direct supervision of the Director of Operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned by the Director of Operations.

leads and works directly with internal and third-party custodial staff.

Inspect all areas to ensure custodial standards are met to pre-and-post event standards.

Leads custodial teams in post event clean up and conversions.

Leads custodial teams throughout complex events and shows over multiple periods of time and days.

Works with Operations Manager in maintaining inventory and ordering janitorial supplies.

Maintain and request needed repairs / replacement of all janitorial equipment.

Inspect that all areas, including the exterior, are well maintained and clean prior to and after each event

Assists with and at times oversees set up and break down of all Ice rink related activity.

Works seamlessly with other departments and outside clients to determine specific custodial needs and is a champion for proactive solution finding and cost-effective operations.

Assist the Operations Manager with Conversions when needed.

Other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Works with Operations Manager in Leading the Custodial Staff and Crew.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or GED preferred.

OFFICE SKILLS:

Must operate two-way communication devices as necessary.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, and government regulations. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or governmental officials. Must speak and write the English language fluently.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

Ability to apply concepts of accounting, algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Engage in decisions related to crowd management in a prompt and decisive manner during crisis situations. Plans, coordinates, and directs varied and complex administrative operations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Must have a current license to operate a motor vehicle in the United States and proof of valid insurance if operating a vehicle on behalf of company.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

The employee is regularly required to talk and hear. WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The noise level work environment is usually moderate.

With entertainment and crowd management being one of the many aspects of this industry, occasionally extremely loud noise levels are present in the work environment. There are also times of low light intensity.

Must assist with emergency and/or crisis management aspects of the facility when warranted.
