To Apply for this Job Click Here Job Title: Firewall Engineering Job Summary Heitmeyer Consulting is seeking aFirewall Engineering for a contract opportunity with one of our financial services clients.

This is a senior-level technical role responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and resilient network infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments.

This role emphasizes deep expertise in firewall technologies, network segmentation, and Azure networking services to support enterprise-grade systems and regulatory compliance.

Must Haves: Need to know Firewalls and deep experiencewithin Palo Alto.

Very comfortable to get around a Palo Alto Firewall.

This role is NOT putting in permit sand denies in firewalls.

Must understand how the firewall integrates into the infrastructure.

Making the firewall route traffic.

Must have a good network engineering background.

Some experience with Cisco is a plus.

Have routing and switching background that is a plus.

F5 load balancing is a plus as well.

Azure firewall is not a big part of the role but this would be great to have.

Azure experience - 90% of thework is done in Azure infrastructure.

Most of the Palo Alto is in their Azure tenant in the Azure Cloud so knowing that language is important.
