We are seeking a highly skilled Tool & Die Maker to join our client's Tool Room department in Fayetteville, AR. This is a full-time opportunity to work in a hands-on, precision-focused environment with a company that values quality craftsmanship and safety. This position reports directly to the Tool Room Supervisor and plays a vital role in supporting the production team by ensuring the creation, maintenance, and repair of complex tools and dies that are essential to manufacturing operations.

The Tool & Die Maker will be responsible for operating a variety of shop equipment including milling machines, lathes, precision grinders, CNC machinery, and more. The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of shop mathematics (including trigonometry), be proficient in the use of gauges and precision measuring tools, and demonstrate the ability to machine parts to exact specifications in a timely manner. This role involves standing or walking for the entirety of the shift and lifting or handling tooling components up to 60 pounds.

This position is ideal for a self-motivated individual with strong mechanical aptitude, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and precision. The Tool & Die Maker will work independently as well as collaboratively with coworkers and supervisors across departments.

Key Responsibilities

Perform high-precision machining using milling machines, lathes, CNC mills and lathes, surface grinders, jig grinders, and hand tools.

Interpret technical drawings and specifications to fabricate, polish, and assemble dies and tooling components.

Maintain dimensional accuracy and finish quality through effective use of measuring instruments and inspection equipment.

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain existing tools and dies as needed to support production operations.

Apply advanced shop mathematics, including trigonometry, to ensure accurate measurements and part fabrication.

Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to all company safety protocols.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.

Completion of a certified trade school program in Tool & Die Making strongly preferred.

3-5 years of experience in a tool and die role in a manufacturing environment.

Demonstrated ability to operate all standard tool room equipment.

Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.

Strong math skills and attention to detail.
