Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and flexible Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Float Pool. This position requires a commitment to a true float role, where the nurse will be responsible for providing patient care across multiple units including Medical, Oncology, Surgical, Medical/Surgical (M/S), Progressive Care Unit (PCU), and Emergency Department (ED) holds.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients across a range of clinical settings.
- Float among various departments, adapting to different patient needs and care protocols.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor and assess patient health, developing care plans in alignment with established protocols.
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation in accordance with facility policies.
Qualifications:
- Current RN license in the state of practice.
- Required certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and successful completion of Dysrhythmia testing.
- Experience in PCU, M/S, and ED settings is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with Cerner electronic medical records (EMR) system is advantageous.
- Minimum commitment of 48 hours per week.
- Must be willing to commute as local candidates are not accepted.
Additional Information:
- Available schedules may vary and are subject to manager approval.
- Orientation will occur biweekly, and successful candidates must complete the necessary training before beginning.
- Employment gaps over 30 days should be documented or explained.
