Network Engineer

Omni Data is a network solutions enterprise that specializes in physical access, security, and network infrastructures.

Omni is a growing organization located in the New Haven area.

Job Description Omni is looking for a motivated Network Engineer.

This is an engineering and troubleshooting position supporting a large and diverse customer base.

We are looking for a very personable, motivated, responsible and tech savvy individual to enhance our team.

This position demands a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities will include: Network engineering and troubleshooting, data cabling and systems administration in a variety of software and hardware environments.

Ensure infrastructure networking and computing systems remain available during production hours.

Interact with management and staff to provide analytical and technical assistance for continuous improvement of IT solutions.

Manage local technical projects.

Maintain or create policies, procedures, and processes.

Identify root-causes of operational issues and process inefficiencies.

Ability to move up to 49lbs as well as stand and walk for 10-12 hours at a time with or without reasonable accommodation.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT related field 1 to 3 years of data center infrastructure and facilities experience Experience with Microsoft MCSE, MCITP Systems Administrator (Active Directory) Cisco CCENT certification Omni Data is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.
