Join Cardinal Health, a global leader in healthcare innovation, as a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer and play a pivotal role in transforming our enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure. In our exciting multi-cloud, multi-tenant environment, you will be at the forefront of supporting thousands of developers working across hundreds of teams, all while powering mission-critical workloads in IaaS, PaaS, and CaaS models.
As a key member of our Cloud Platform team, you will take charge of the design, orchestration, optimization, and governance of our serverless infrastructure. Build, troubleshoot, and optimize containerized workloads in GKE for enhanced performance, cost-efficiency, and high availability across multi-zonal/regional clusters.
Automate infrastructure provisioning and updates with Terraform, integrating with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Cloud Build, Jenkins, Concourse) and GitOps tools (e.g., ArgoCD, Flux).
Implement security controls (e.g., Pod Security Admission, Secrets Management with GCP Secret Manager) and ensure adherence to HIPAA, SOX, and other regulations.
Collaborate with DevSecOps/Application Security teams to infuse security into the SDLC, utilizing tools like Aquasec or Trivy for container image scanning.
Monitor cluster health and application performance using Dynatrace, Prometheus, and GCP Cloud Monitoring/Logging, conducting root cause analysis for incidents.
Participate in code reviews, establish coding standards, and ensure adherence to software development best practices within the team.
Enforce platform governance using tools like Open Policy Agent (OPA), embedding observability and compliance into all solutions.
Act as a technical liaison between the serverless platforms team and other organizations, translating business needs into actionable technical solutions.
Stay informed about cloud-native technologies and trends, actively contributing to Cardinal Health's cloud strategy.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
3+ years of experience in cloud engineering with a focus on Kubernetes and GCP preferred.
Understanding of microservices, event-driven architectures, and distributed systems.
Strong communication skills to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
