Description

The Mortgage Loan Processor performs a variety of duties both clerical and technical; major responsibilities include coordinating the processing of mortgage loans following application, through preparation of loan documents for closing.

Orders and reviews all documentation, i.e., verification of income, verification of employment, credit report, appraisal, survey, title commitment, etc.

Contacts borrower and other sources to collect necessary documentation

Acts as a liaison between origination staff, underwriters, outside escrow, title company, and customers

Checks information submitted by loan applicants for accuracy and adherence to established underwriting criteria and regulations

Works with the processing team to ensure files are moving through the system

Checks loan file to ensure that it contains all necessary documents, signatures, dates and other important information

Builds and maintains relationships with clients to ensure a constant pipeline of mortgage files

Qualifications:

4-6 years of loan processing experience

High School diploma or GED

Skills:

Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Word; basic keyboarding and calculator skills; must be able to do simple math

and carry out written instructions.]

Travel to a variety of locations to perform work and/or attend meetings as required

Work occasionally requires more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential functions of the position

Must be able to travel regularly from location to location

Lifting in an office setting may be required up to 30 lbs.
