Our Project Management Office team, within our expansive Technology department, is looking to bring on an experienced QA engineer on-site for a contract position to work closely with stakeholders to write and execute manual test cases, automate those test cases, and report on the results in a Microsoft environment with multiple complex projects.
The right person for this opportunity will be a self-starter with a can-do attitude-a creative problem solver with strong analytical skills. Our workplace environment is fast-paced, so the ability to stay on top of multiple projects is essential.
As a QA contractor, your responsibilities would include:
Writing test plans and test cases
Reporting, analyzing, and tracking defects
Assisting with software releases
Running SQL queries to validate results
Working closely with other QA members, Development, and stakeholders
Potentially participating in a scrum team
The ideal candidate would also meet the following requirements:
2-5 years' testing experience in information services/technology
Proficiency with basic SQL queries
Experience working in a Microsoft environment; TFS and Visual Studio experience a plus
Familiarity with testing web-based applications; SaaS a plus
Experience with bug tracking systems, particularly TFS
Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience with the following would be a plus:

Agile methodology
.NET, and/or JavaScript
