Network Engineer - Intermediate (US)

Position Title: Network Engineer

Location: Plano, TX (onsite)

Position Status: 1+ year contract

Position Description:

We are seeking a hands-on Network Engineer to support the day-to-day operations of our data center. The ideal candidate will have experience in both network hardware and software administration. This role requires on-site presence 5 days a week and the flexibility to work across different aspects of infrastructure, including hardware installation, configuration, and network support.

Responsibilities:

Administer and maintain network infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting

Support and integrate new network and hardware components into the environment

Work with network technologies across routing, switching, SDWAN, wireless, and WAN acceleration

Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure high availability and performance

Maintain accurate documentation of network changes and system configurations

Required Skills & Experience:

Practical experience with routing and switching technologies

Exposure to data center network architectures

Familiarity with WAN Accelerators and SDWAN solutions

Ability to adapt between hardware and software network tasks

Strong hands-on skills with equipment setup, cabling, and network deployment

Preferred Vendor Knowledge:

Cisco, Arista, Aruba switches and data center equipment

Aruba wireless networking

Silverpeak SDWAN solutions

Riverbed WAN Accelerators

Certifications (Highly Preferred):

CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent network certifications

Ideal Candidate Traits:

On-site availability in Plano, TX (no remote option)

Willingness to be hands-on with both physical and logical networking tasks

Self-sufficient, proactive problem solver

Team player with excellent communication skills
