As a Partner Engineering Manager at Canonical, your role involves managing relationships with key technology partners, ensuring the timely delivery of project milestones.
Technical leadership and a background in software engineering are essential.
You will lead, challenge, and develop engineers, influence company culture positively, facilitate technical delivery, and work on strategic planning with your team.
What you'll do Lead a distributed team of engineers to design and implement optimal Ubuntu integrations for the latest IoT and server hardware platforms.
Engage with commercial partners to deliver a high-quality, optimised Ubuntu experience on their platforms.
Develop your team through coaching, mentoring, leading by example, and providing feedback.
Oversee commercial engagements and ensure the timely delivery of project milestones.
Maintain strict quality and reliability standards.
Collaborate with other teams at Canonical to align on product architecture and roadmaps.
Work remotely with global travel up to twice a year for up to two weeks.
Who you are You have experience with Linux distributions, Debian packaging, and high-performance server hardware.
You have worked directly with customers, resolving technical issues and aligning solutions with business needs.
You have managed or led a team of software engineers.
You understand agile software development methodologies.
You collaborate effectively across teams, building trust and delivering results.
You possess strong communication skills in English, both written and oral.
You hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technology-related field.
