JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Manager of Central Sterile Processing to oversee the daily operations of our Sterile Processing Department. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for the planning, organization, staffing, and quality monitoring of work within the department.
As a key member of our surgical services team, you will develop and implement organization-wide instrument sterilization policies and procedures. Your expertise in utilizing both existing and emerging technologies will be crucial in improving operations and reducing costs. You will ensure that instrumentation, supplies, and resources are available promptly to support surgical services and various other departments.
Your role includes maintaining compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity laws, HIPAA, ERISA, and other relevant regulations while embodying the strategy, vision, and values of the organization.
Qualifications - External
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or GED (Required)
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a related healthcare field preferred, or 5+ years of experience in a Perioperative setting including Central Sterile, Operating Room, or Ambulatory Care Center, along with completion of a 2-year healthcare-related degree within 2 years of hire.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
3+ years of management or supervisory experience in sterile processing, preferably in a hospital setting (Required).
If no degree, 8 years of recent, directly related experience in a Perioperative setting is required.
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSURES
Must hold certification as CRCST or higher through IAHCSMM OR certification as CSPDT or higher through CBSPD.
