Assistant/Associate/Full Professor - Large Animal Practice
Job Summary
Participation in providing client medicine and surgery services to the Large Animal Teaching Hospital, is required. Clinical services also include participation in after-hours emergency duty. The successful applicant must develop strong professional relationships with referring veterinarians and participate in state and national outreach and continuing education. Participation on college and university committees is expected.
Essential Job Duties
Classroom, clinical and laboratory instruction of veterinary students, graduate students, interns, and graduate veterinarians.
Creative scholarship and collaborative research in large animal practice.
Develop innovative teaching and service programs.
Provide client services, including medicine and surgery.
After-hours/on-call emergency duty.
Development of strong professional relationships with referring veterinarians.
Participation in state and national outreach and continuing education.
Participation on college and university committees. Preferred Qualifications
DVM or equivalent degree.
Three to four years of postgraduate clinical experience, including a large animal rotating internship and/or clinical instructor experience in an academic setting, will be given preference.
Clinical experience and documented competence in medical and surgical management in all large animal species are required. Physical Demands
