Obstetrics Physician

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a Board-Certified OBGYN to provide 24-hour call coverage at a community hospital in Dillon, South Carolina. This role includes hospital-based call responsibilities, inpatient rounding, ED consults, and occasional in-office support upon request. Orientation is required prior to the first shift and must be scheduled on a weekday. Multiple blocks of coverage are available throughout 2024. Assignment Highlights

Schedule & Coverage Details

24-hour in-house call coverage

Orientation required prior to first shift (weekdays only)

Daily inpatient rounds, including weekends

Locum will respond to hospital and ED-based needs; office covered by FNP unless escalation is needed Specific Open Dates - details available

Clinical Details

Daily census: 1-3 inpatients

Average deliveries per day: 1-3

2-4 NST/observations daily

4 LDR beds

EMR: EPIC

No inpatient midlevel support

Must manage vaginal and cesarean deliveries

Circumcisions handled by pediatricians

ED consults required as needed

Patient age range: 15-70 Travel & Coverage

Prepaid travel and lodging provided by HPA Healthcare

A-rated malpractice insurance included Skills & Experience

Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology

Active SC medical license, SC Controlled Substance registration, and DEA

Comfortable with full-scope inpatient and emergency obstetrics

Prior experience in call-heavy or rural hospital settings preferred

Familiarity with EPIC EMR
