Job Title: Light Industrial Assembler
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Light Industrial Assembler for Level I-II roles. The position involves pulling parts from stock to build kits for Production Control, managing material requisitions, and ensuring accurate inventory through cycle counts. You will also assist with tracking and filling backorders, and work in Parts Prep and inventory in Value Add (Tape & Reel and Programming). For Level II, additional responsibilities include monitoring priority material delivery, conducting thorough investigations of discrepancies, and providing guidance to lower-level employees.
Responsibilities
Read and follow assembly prints, work instructions, drawings, procedures, and specifications for manufacturing PCBs.
Identify workmanship and material defects, and suggest improvements to work instructions.
Assemble electronic components, subassemblies, and systems using various tools.
Maintain accurate material control and perform inspections within the work area.
Provide timely feedback to operations, management, and support engineering.
Follow and maintain accurate process documentation.
Mentor less experienced employees and serve as a resource for assembly techniques.Essential Skills
Proficiency in assembly, hand tools, soldering, electronic assembly, blueprint reading, and crimping.
Mechanical and electrical skills, including GD&T and micrometer usage.
Experience with PCB assembly and material handling.
Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
Experience in hardware and/or simple optics assembly type activities.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to respond to written and verbal instructions.Additional Skills & Qualifications
1+ years of experience in a related field.
Ability to identify and correct solder non-conformance.
Experience in working with and around chemicals used in PCB manufacturing.
Ability to work overtime as needed.

Work Environment
Work in a clean aerospace facility spanning 220,000 square feet. Operate in a safe and organized environment with a focus on precision and quality. The position is based on a first shift schedule, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of HUNTSVILLE, Alabama.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
