Job Description

We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our team, specializing in welding on mild steel ranging from 12 gauge to 1 inch in the flat, vertical down, and overhead positions. The role requires setting up welding equipment, measuring, cutting, bending, and building frames. Proficiency in using hand and power tools, tape measures, and other measuring tools is essential, as well as grinding and polishing welds.

Responsibilities

Perform MIG welding on mild steel in various positions.

Set up welding equipment and jobs independently.

Measure, cut, bend, and assemble frames.

Utilize hand and power tools for assembly and fabrication.

Grind and polish welds to ensure quality.

Work with Miller welders.Essential Skills

5 years of MIG welding experience on mild and structural steel.

Proficiency in reading blueprints and using a tape measure.

Experience with fabrication, fitting, and assembly.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Work Environment

The position operates on a 1st shift schedule from 6am to 4:30pm, Monday through Thursday, with occasional Fridays. Safety is a priority, requiring steel-toed shoes, eye, and hearing protection. The work environment supports approximately 80 employees, with plans for expansion. Located in the Iron Works district, the facility is connected to recreational amenities including a golf simulator and bar.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Beloit, Wisconsin.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $60000.00/yr.

4-10 schedule - try to not work OT but currently working some OT

Growing company - they build parts for Data centers, which that industry is taking off

In the Iron works district - connected to a golf simulator and bar. Their other facility is Brand new facility with tons of space, great lighting, new machinery and high ceilings. They plan to move everything to the new building sometime over the summer of 2025

80 person shop with a lot of growth discussions to get over 100 employees

Welding Manager started as a welder and they moved him into a leadership role. A lot of growth opps at MTL

Direct Hire

$1 for 2nd shift

Annual raises: Don't do a lot of annual raises, they would bump people up throughout the year

Benefits and insurances: $500 deductible for medical - company pays 65%, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k

Vacation: 1 week after 1 year, 2 weeks after 2, can get an extra week per year based on attendance

Growth potential: Steve (Engineering manager), started on shop floor, most supervisors started on the shop floor in a production role

Pay: $25-29/hr and $1 for 2nd
