HR Administrative Assistant
Reports to: Human Resources Director
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Hours: 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (One (1) Hour Lunch)
Job Location: 3500 Alum Creek Drive, Columbus, OH 43207 This position is primarily in person, with hybrid work capabilities.
General Overview: Under direct supervision, the Human Resources Administrative Assistant supports various administrative tasks within the Human Resources Department. This individual should consistently demonstrate Integrity, Gratitude, Excellence, and Leadership.
Responsibilities:
Become and remain DOT-certified to be a drug-test collector;
Provides onboarding and new hire orientation support;
Assists with background checks and employment verifications;
Performs administrative and recordkeeping tasks related to staffing changes, which may include layoffs, resignations, terminations, and extended leaves of absence;
Perform general office duties such as answering phones, managing emails, and handling correspondence;
Maintains and organizes employee records;
Orders office supplies and manages inventory;
Schedules and coordinates meetings, appointments, and events;
Prepares and distributes meeting agendas and relevant documents;
Assists with data entry, report generation, and documentation;
Assists with internal and external audits by organizing and providing required documentation;
Provide support for various departmental projects and initiatives;
Know and adhere to all company policies and procedures, and be able to communicate them effectively;
Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation, skilled at handling sensitive information, ability to stand for extending periods of time, ability to walk extended distances, ability to remain physically active for extended periods of time, ability to lift and carry items weighing 30 pounds or more, ability to collect, label, and manage biological samples according to established procedures (drug testing), ability to communicate orally and in writing, ability to speak publicly, ability to read and comprehend information from written materials, ability to work independently and in a team environment, ability to travel to and from the primary workplace on a daily basis, as well as to the occasional off-site locations such as career fairs, job sites, or related events.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Previous experience in an administrative support role, specifically in Human Resources-related functions, is preferred.
