What Youll Do
As our Lead Carpenter, you'll be responsible for managing job sites, executing advanced carpentry tasks, collaborating with clients and subcontractors, and ensuring work is completed efficiently and to the highest standards. Youll be a hands-on leader who sets the tone for craftsmanship, communication, and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Perform expert-level rough and finish carpentry with minimal oversight
Lead, delegate, and support daily work across the crew
Coordinate with clients and subcontractors to align on schedules, selections, and expectations
Identify and manage change orders; ensure proper documentation
Track costs and verify accuracy against estimates
Use BuilderTrend to maintain daily logs, update To-Dos, and share project progress
Schedule inspections, deliveries, dumpsters, and equipment as needed
Read and interpret blueprints and construction documents with precision
Ensure layout accuracy, framing quality, and finish readiness
Install cabinetry, trim, windows, doors, and built-ins with exceptional craftsmanship precision
Perform light drywall, painting, mechanical, and plumbing repairs as needed
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site
Implement dust control and prep each phase of construction
Support teammates on additional projects as needed
Complete punch list and warranty items with professionalism and care
What Were Looking For
7+ years of hands-on carpentry experience
3+ years in a leadership, project management, or site supervisor role
Strong command of both rough and finish carpentry
Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills
Experience with construction management software (BuilderTrend experience is a plus!)
Ability to read, interpret, and sketch construction documents
Reliable vehicle and valid drivers license with a clean record
Physically able to lift 75+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in crawl spaces
Professional appearance, positive attitude, and team-first mindset
Smartphone proficiency for using job management apps
Commitment to a consistent 40+ hour work week
What We Offer
Total Compensation: $60,000 $80,000/year (includes base salary and performance bonuses)
