Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled PLC Automation Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in PLC and VFD troubleshooting, coupled with a deep understanding of AC/DC motor troubleshooting and circuit analysis. This role will involve maintaining, repairing, and optimizing industrial automation systems to ensure efficient and reliable operations.
Responsibilities
PLC and VFD Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) in industrial automation systems.
Motor Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot AC and DC motors to identify and rectify mechanical and electrical problems.
Circuit Troubleshooting: Analyze and repair electrical circuits, including power distribution, control, and instrumentation circuits.
Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on automation equipment to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.
Installation and Commissioning: Install, configure, and commission new automation systems and equipment.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all maintenance activities, troubleshooting procedures, and system configurations.
Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, technicians, and operators to ensure seamless integration and operation of automation systems.
Qualifications
Technical Education: Associate degree or equivalent in electrical engineering, automation technology, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in PLC and VFD troubleshooting, motor control, and circuit analysis.
PLC Programming: Proficiency in at least one PLC programming language (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Omron).
Electrical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical principles, including power distribution, control circuits, and instrumentation.
Troubleshooting Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Mechanical Aptitude: Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and components.
Safety Awareness: Adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
Preferred Skills
Certification: Industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, Certified Automation Professional).
Software Proficiency: Familiarity with HMI/SCADA software and programming tools would be a plusCompany Description
