Job Description

Job Title: Press Operator (2nd Shift)

Location: Ashland City, TN

Type: Contract-to-Hire (720 hours)

Job Summary:

We are seeking experienced Press Operators to join a fast-paced, high-performing production team. This role is vital to turning raw steel coils into precision-formed parts using large industrial press machines. Candidates must have hands-on machine operating experience, a strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to perform quality checks using various measurement tools.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate large press machines based on specifications in SAP

Assist in steel coil setup using overhead crane systems

Perform regular quality checks and document results according to the control plan

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and measurements

Use calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools

Make machine adjustments based on part specifications

Maintain a safe and clean working environment

Learn and navigate SAP system (training provided)

Communicate effectively with team members and leadership

Complete any additional tasks assigned by supervisors

What We’re Looking For:

6–12+ months of machine operating experience (large machinery preferred)

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

Ability to stand, bend, twist, and lift up to 45 lbs repeatedly

Comfortable using a computer; able to learn SAP

Proficiency in basic math and measurement

Willingness to become tow motor certified

High school diploma or GED required
