Locations: New Jersey, Philadelphia and Baltimore

Position Type: 1099 Contractor

Compensation: $35 to $65 per hour, with IRS standard mileage reimbursement + $0.40 per mile

Position Summary:

Certified CNG Inspector, LLC is seeking a highly skilled and flexible Certified CNG Inspector to join our team as a 1099 contractor in New Jersey, Philadelphia, Central Florida, and Baltimore. The successful candidate will perform inspections, repairs, and installations on compressed natural gas (CNG) fuel systems for various manufacturers and fleets. This role requires the ability to adapt to changing priorities, a strong background in heavy truck mechanics, and the capacity to work independently while maintaining excellent communication with the owners and team.

Responsibilities:

Perform CNG system inspections, repairs, and installations on various heavy truck platforms, adhering to industry standards and manufacturer specifications.

Travel to different job locations daily, as assigned by the owners, ensuring punctuality and professionalism.

Maintain clear and concise communication with the owners, providing updates on project progress and any challenges encountered.

Complete assigned repairs and inspections efficiently and accurately, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to company quality standards.

Maintain accurate records of completed work, including inspection reports and repair documentation.

Continuously expand technical knowledge and skills through ongoing training and staying current on industry trends and advancements.

Manage time effectively, adapting to changing priorities and demonstrating flexibility in a dynamic work environment.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Certified CNG Inspector certification, showcasing expertise in CNG fuel systems.

Strong background in heavy truck mechanics, with a proven track record in performing inspections, repairs, and installations.

Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills, with a keen attention to detail.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively with the owners, team members, and customers.

Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Valid driver's license and clean driving record, enabling daily travel to various job locations.

Willingness to work as a 1099 contractor, managing personal tax obligations and insurance.

Compensation & Benefits:

Competitive compensation ranging from $35 to $65 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

IRS standard mileage reimbursement, plus an additional $0.40 per mile.

Retention of travel points for personal use in cases of overnight stays or extensive travel.
