Healthcare Construction Project Executive
The Healthcare Construction Project Executive is responsible for leading and overseeing complex healthcare construction projects from preconstruction through completion. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within scope, and on budget, while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance with all regulatory requirements. The Project Executive acts as the primary client liaison and internal team leader, ensuring stakeholder satisfaction and successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead multiple healthcare construction projects, including hospitals, outpatient facilities, and medical office buildings.
Provide executive-level oversight from preconstruction through closeout.
Manage project budgets, schedules, procurement strategies, risk mitigation plans, and quality control.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships; serve as the main point of contact for key stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with healthcare-specific regulations and standards, including AHCA, OSHPD, NFPA, FGI, and other applicable codes.
Oversee coordination among project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, design professionals, and consultants.
Participate in contract negotiations, value engineering, and constructability reviews.
Mentor and lead project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Monitor financial performance and proactively address project variances or risks.
Support business development efforts by contributing to proposals, interviews, and client presentations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
10+ years of progressive experience in construction management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing large-scale healthcare projects.
Proven track record of successful project delivery in the healthcare sector.
Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and healthcare-specific requirements.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
OSHA 30 certification preferred.
LEED accreditation and/or CHC (Certified Healthcare Constructor) is a plus.
