Job Description

· The scale house attendant is the first point of contact with our customers. The position requires greeting and assisting customers, employees and other individuals who come in to recycle metal, dump waste concrete/brick or purchase our recycled concrete aggregate. Must be able to accurately enter material and weights into the scale system computer, observing loads entering the facility, and calculating and handling money. Basic math skills a must.

· Maintain a daily cash report throughout the day.

· Assist in billing and taking payments.

· Must be able to adapt to change in a sometimes fast paced environment.

· Using multiple computer programs during the day.

· Answering calls and emails, giving directions to customers, providing prices, taking orders for deliveries and general information.

· Needs to be able to communicate with other employees during the day of the on goings at the facility.

· Maintain and update files

· Operate a truck scale

· Maintain overall cleanliness of the scale house.

· This position is Monday – Friday and some Saturdays. 40 hours while training. 50-55 hours after training is complete. After training, this person will be in rotation between our 2 locations. One is in Chester and the other in Midlothian off Hull St & 288 area.

Administration needed for aggregate and metal scrap yard. Individual will work with customers coming to yard to drop off material or pick up material as well as deal with our employees that deliver material to our jobsites. Casual construction atmosphere but very professional. Must be a multi tasker and have great customer service skills, as this position deals with our employee's and our customers employee's. This individual will be responsible for helping drivers at the window with their tickets and making sure those tickets are billed correctly and or paid out correctly. Metal customers coming in and turning over scrap metal for payment. Learning the scrap metal and aggregate business a must in order to do the job accurately. After being trained, this person will be in rotation for our other scalehouse location off of Hull Street and 288. One week at one location and one week at the other.
