Position Summary

The Accounts Receivable Associate is responsible for assisting the Finance Department with receivables and collections.

Duties and Responsibilities

Posts customer payments by recording ACH, checks, and credit card transactions.

Posts revenues by verifying and entering transactions form lock box and local deposits.

Updates receivables by totaling unpaid invoices.

Maintains records by invoices, debits, and credits.

Resolves valid or authorized deductions by entering adjusting entries.

Resolves invalid or unauthorized deductions by following pending deductions procedures.

Resolves collections by examining customer payment plans, payment history, credit line; coordinating contact with collections department.

Summarizes receivables by maintaining invoice accounts; coordinating monthly transfer to accounts receivable account; verifying totals; preparing report.

Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.

Accomplishes accounting and month end tasks as needed.

Make calls to customers to collect overdue payments.

Position Requirements

Must be organized.

Have excellent data entry skills.

Accounting or bookkeeping experience.

Attention to detail and very thorough.

Willing to do research and record results in an easy-to-read manner.

Strong verbal communication skills.

Team player and detailed oriented with the ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Conduct duties and responsibilities in a moral, honest and ethical manner.
