Our client is adding to their team with a Branch Manager role. This is a very specific niche industry, so please read carefully! Our client sells and repairs Powered Industrial Trucks (think like the huge forklifts that stack shipping containers or move/carry large cement blocks). This Branch Manager will be overseeing the service and sales people, manage relationships with current customers and develop relationships with new prospects. You’ll be creating and building out the sales territory in Michigan with sales people on your team, while having a sales minded role yourself.
The right candidate will have:
Experience as a mechanic for large vehicles or heavy equipment, or a service manager in that environment.
MUST have been in a B2B facing role where you’re talking with businesses about the product line.
Understand how a business works (sales, service, customer service, retention, billing on time, review sales activity, motivate staff, address customer issues, work with owners)
Strong understanding of the PIT industry (or similar).
Experienced in managing staff of at least eight people, some union.
This position will be located in Livonia with some travel to the Chicago area for training. You’ll be overseeing a staff of eight with a plan to continue to grow this location and possible expansion to add a second location in the Lansing area. Salary is $90k for this role with an excellent benefit package including solid BCBS insurance plan, 401k plus matching, PTO and more. Must be motivated to lead, grow and really make this your home. Your physical office is in the shop. You’ll never wear a suit or dress slacks. It’s a jeans and collared shirt environment. Professionalism, though, in communication, presentation, and execution is a must! Great opportunity for an industry seasoned individual who now wants to lead the team.
