General Description:
The Gifted Teacher must be able to identify the presence of giftedness, and identify and guide the social and emotional development of the gifted learner. Utilize curriculum and instructional strategies to mature the gifted learner. Utilize advanced program development and evaluation to assess the progress of the gifted learner. Be able to assess the presence of gifted learners in underrepresented populations.
Minimal Qualifications:
Virginia Collegiate Professional license with the GIFTED EDUCATION endorsement preferred or have Completed 12 semester hours of graduate-level coursework in gifted education.
