Position Overview: The Network Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the design, implementation, maintenance, and documentation of Kohler Credit Union's network systems. This position ensures the reliability, security, and efficiency of the network infrastructure, contributing to seamless connectivity and overall technology performance.
What You'll Do:
Network Design & Documentation: Create and update detailed network diagrams, configuration files, and procedural documents while ensuring all records reflect changes and upgrades promptly.
Implementation & Maintenance: Assist in deploying and maintaining critical network components like routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs, and support the setup and configuration of new hardware.
Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Monitor network performance to identify and resolve bottlenecks or issues and collaborate with the team to troubleshoot connectivity problems efficiently.
Upgrades & Innovation: Contribute to network upgrades, migrations, and deployment of new technologies that improve efficiency, reliability, and security.
Support & Availability: Provide after-hours on-call support on a rotational basis to ensure 24/7 network availability for our members and team.
What You Bring to the Team:
Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field with a focus on computer networking is required.
0-2 years of networking experience, ideally within a financial institution or credit union environment.
Work Schedule
Monday through Friday regular hours.
Participate in rotational after-hours on-call support to maintain 24/7 network availability for our members and team.
