CNC Programmer

Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Programmer to join our team. The CNC Programmer will be responsible for creating and optimizing CNC programs to support the manufacturing of precision components. This position plays a key role in ensuring production efficiency, product quality, and on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, write, and optimize CNC programs for milling, turning, or multi-axis machines

Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD/CAM files

Set up and troubleshoot programs to ensure accuracy and production readiness

Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and production staff to streamline workflows

Recommend improvements to tooling, machining processes, and cycle times

Inspect finished parts for conformance to specifications and quality standards

Maintain records of programs, setups, and process documentation

Ensure compliance with safety protocols and best practices on the shop floor

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience as a CNC Programmer in a manufacturing environment

Proficiency in G-code and CNC programming software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, GibbsCAM, etc.)

Strong understanding of machining practices, tooling, speeds/feeds, and materials

Ability to read technical drawings and GD&T specifications

Hands-on experience with CNC machine setup and operation (preferred)

Familiarity with CAD/CAM systems and 3D modeling software

High attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and technical mindset

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree preferred
