The Child Care Caregiver is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children in their care. This role supports children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development through structured activities and attentive supervision.
### **Key Responsibilities** {#key-responsibilities data-start="751" end="779"}
- Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times
- Assist with planning and implementing age-appropriate activities and curriculum
- Promote positive behavior and social skills through guidance and role modeling
- Monitor and document developmental progress, behavior, and milestones
- Support meal times, diapering, toileting, and naptime routines
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding child progress and concerns
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment per licensing and health standards
- Follow all center policies, licensing regulations, and safety protocols
- Collaborate with other caregivers and staff to create a cohesive care team
### **Qualifications** {#qualifications data-start="1487" end="1509"}
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous experience in a licensed child care setting preferred
- CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)
- Ability to lift 30+ lbs, bend, kneel, and sit on the floor with children
- Strong communication, patience, and organizational skills
- Passion for working with young children in a diverse, inclusive environment
