Schedule: Full-Time, 2nd Shift

Location: Orlando, FL

Pay: Based on experience and technician level

Position Overview

The RF Technician will tune, test, and verify RF filters and oscillators, including LC filters, crystal and cavity filters, and oscillators such as TCXOs, VCXOs, and OCXOs. Technicians are responsible for following test procedures, using various diagnostic tools, and ensuring final products meet customer specifications.

️ Key Responsibilities by Level

RF Technician I:

Follow manufacturing procedures and good practices (GMP/STEP-C)

Read schematics and basic instructions

Perform environmental tests (vibration, shock, thermal)

Use basic tools (torque tools, calipers, leak detection equipment)

Maintain a clean, safe work area

RF Technician II (includes all Technician I duties):

Operate network/spectrum analyzers, frequency counters, mixers, power meters

Tune RF filters and perform basic oscillator setups

Work independently in assigned work area

Prep and guide work for Technician I staff

RF Technician III (includes all Technician II duties):

Tune high-frequency/space-level filters and complex oscillator models

Troubleshoot component issues and test fixture problems

Perform advanced test setups (IM, phase noise, vibration)

Assist in multiple departments and mentor junior techs

RF Technician IV (includes all Technician III duties):

Partner with engineering teams to improve processes and yields

Perform advanced-level troubleshooting to the component level

Lead improvements in test methods and calibration accuracy

Act as a technical mentor across the RF department

Skills & Qualifications

General:

Strong understanding of electrical/electronic circuits

Ability to read schematics and follow detailed procedures

Basic to advanced computer skills, depending on level

Clear verbal and written communication skills

Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities

Required by Level:

Tech I: AS in Electronics or equivalent (military experience welcome)

Tech II: 1+ year technician experience

Tech III: 2+ years, must handle complex models

Tech IV: 5+ years, mastery of oscillators and filters

Physical & Security Requirements

Must be able to work on ITAR-regulated data

Ability to sit, bend, lift light objects, and walk around the production area

May require security clearance eligibility
