Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CT Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism and a commitment to service excellence while performing a variety of critical tasks essential to patient care within a clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities:

- Obtain necessary medical, surgical, and radiological supplies for specific procedures according to established protocols.

- Maintain sterility of the field and instruments during procedures.

- Accurately prepare requisitions and communicate effectively with patients and their families to alleviate anxiety while ensuring privacy and dignity.

- Verify patient identification in accordance with established policies and procedures.

- Observe and assess patient's conditions before and after contrast injections, reporting any sudden changes to nursing staff and radiologists.

- Ensure availability of medical records, previous reports, lab results, and patient histories.

- Initiate emergency response protocols in case of complications.

- Maintain appropriate linen, contrast media, and biopsy/drainage supplies in each scanning room.

- Participate in daily inventory and the stocking of supplies, notifying the Lead of any expired or soon-to-expire equipment or medications.

- Clean and maintain scanning equipment and work areas to ensure a safe and tidy environment.

- When assigned as Point, triage procedures accordingly to the daily schedule, ensuring timely coordination of all emergency and unscheduled requests.

- Communicate effectively with all departments regarding patient status and ensure immediate patient transport post-procedure.

- Adhere to Quality Assurance/Quality Control standards for daily, monthly, and ACR specifications.

- Screen for patient allergies and medication incompatibilities, ensuring patient safety at all times.

- Follow established protocols for venipuncture and power injector operations.

Schedule:

- Sunday, Monday, Tuesday: 7 PM - 8 AM (including call and holiday rotation)

- Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: 9 PM - 7 AM (including call and holiday rotation)

Qualifications:

Required Education:

- High School Diploma/GED

- Completion of a Radiographer Technical training program from an accredited School of Radiography or college-based Radiography program.

Required Certifications:

- ARRT RT (R)

- ARRT RT (CT)

- NJDEP New Jersey State X-Ray License

- BLS Certification

Skills & Experience:

- Must possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

- Prior experience in a CT Technologist role is preferred.
