ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1). Operates assigned converting department equipment.

2). Performs quality checks at set-ups and specified intervals when the job is running as outlined on the “Quality Check Report.”

3). Assists in adjusting equipment to correct production and quality problems, maximizing outputs.

4). Communicates pertinent information to the Shift Lead Person regarding the condition of equipment, operating or quality problems, etc.

5). Completes reports and forms such as Production Reports, Job Order, Quality Check Report, and Pallet Labels.

6). Records, accumulates, and calculates production pounds, bags, and times.

7). Prepares boxes, wickets, and other necessary packaging supplies.

8). Assists in monitoring equipment, working conditions, and operating methods for safety. Reports any unsafe conditions.

9). Performs assigned housekeeping duties.

10). Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

*Requires 2 years of experience as a Production Worker, All Other with a High School Diploma/GED.

*Requires you to have a Class C Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.

*Computer Skills: Database Software.

*Requires you to speak, read, and write good English.

Language Skills

- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English.

- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence in English.

- Ability to speak effectively with other employees of the organization in English.

Mathematical Skills

- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

-The ability to compute and interpret basic math formulas, percentages, charts, and graphs.

Reasoning Ability

- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

- Must have completed all current training required by law and by American Film and Printing.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms.

- The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.

- The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel or crouch.

- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 65 pounds or more than 65 pounds with assistance or proper equipment.

- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and hazardous chemicals.

- The employee is occasionally exposed to high precarious places and risk of electrical shock. - The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

- The temperature is not controlled and is somewhat related to seasonal conditions.
