Head of Data Analyst (Non-IT)

Position Summary:

We are looking for a highly analytical and independent Head of Data Analyst to take ownership of the data analytics function in an insurance-related company. This role is responsible for leading end-to-end data initiatives and performance monitoring across all lines of insurance business, delivering insights that drive strategic decisions and operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

Take full ownership of data analysis, reporting, and business performance tracking across various insurance product lines.

Design and manage dashboards, KPIs, and analytical reports to monitor utilization trends, claims patterns, and portfolio profitability.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Account Management, Claims, Product, Business Development other key business functions to identify analytical needs and deliver impactful insights.

Translate complex datasets into meaningful recommendations to support leadership decisions and business planning.

Continuously improve data structures, reporting processes, and visualization tools for greater efficiency and clarity.

Conduct market and competitor analysis using internal and external data sources to support strategic initiatives.

Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with industry standards and OJK regulations.

Present findings in a clear, concise manner tailored to both internal and client-facing stakeholders.

Act as the primary go-to person for all data-related insights, working closely with various departments without direct reports.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Statistics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Insurance, or a related field; Masters degree is a plus.

Minimum 7 years of experience in data analysis or business intelligence within the insurance industry, across multiple insurance product lines.

Strong understanding of how data supports performance management across all lines of insurance business.

Strong command of Microsoft Office suite, not limited to Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or Phython is a plus.

Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with strong attention to detail.

Confident in communicating insights clearly and persuasively to cross-functional stakeholders.

In-depth knowledge of OJK regulations and insurance data standards.

Holding professional certifications issued by AAMAI or APARI is a strong advantage.
