What You'll Bring

Essential Experience:

Previous legal secretary experience, preferably in Workers Compensation and/or Personal Injury

Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Fast and accurate typing (minimum 70 WPM)

Excellent communication skills with a professional phone manner

Natural ability to juggle priorities and manage competing deadlines

Client & Case Management:

Managing lawyer diaries and appointments

Building strong client relationships through professional liaison

Coordinating document requests and follow-ups

Overseeing matter progression and deadline management

Opening and closing legal matters

Document & Administrative Excellence:

Transcribing dictation within required timeframes

Drafting, formatting and refining legal documents and correspondence

Maintaining comprehensive filing systems and case records

Processing disbursements and cheque requisitions

Preparing professional bills and archiving completed matters
