The Shift Lead is the employee in charge of opening and closing the store in the absence of the manager or assistant, must know all systems, cash handling required, and ensuring that the floor and warehouse are ready for the workday. Performs product returns, order cancellations, customer refunds, cash deliveries to the safe, and provides change as requested to the cash registers. Models and offers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver excellent customer service by engaging with customers, resolving issues, and modeling best practices to ensure a positive shopping experience.
Operate the cash register, recommend products, support cross-selling efforts, and assist with store programs (e.g., photo, lottery, OTC, UVA).
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked store by performing merchandising, inventory, labeling, and product rotation tasks.
Ensure compliance with local laws and company policies, including the handling of regulated products.
Support store operations by completing assigned tasks, maintaining store appearance, and collaborating with the Pharmacy Department on business strategies.
Report customer complaints and disciplinary issues to the Store Manager as needed.
