Permanent Position: Physician - Gastroenterology in Jackson, MI
The Jackson Division of Gastroenterology is looking for a Board Eligible/Certified Gastroenterologist with ERCP certification. This is an exciting opportunity to join a progressive GI hospital program with a full support staff. The facility is a Trauma Level II hospital, offering both inpatient and outpatient services, and features an endoscopy center and outpatient clinic right on the hospital campus, providing seamless access to patients. Job Responsibilities:
Provide inpatient and outpatient care, including rounds and clinic duties.
Participate in a collaborative care team, including APP support both in clinic and hospital settings.
Engage in teaching opportunities as part of the Graduate Medical Education (GME) program.
Stay updated and apply complex knowledge in gastroenterology successfully.
Manage an average patient load with flexible support systems in place.
Participate in the emergency call rotation (1:6 ratio, including some weekends). Qualifications:
Board Eligible in Gastroenterology (must become Board Certified within a year) or Board Certified.
Fellowship-trained in Gastroenterology.
5-8 years of GI work experience preferred.
Clean malpractice and license history.
Current COVID and flu vaccinations.
ERCP certification (consideration will be given for additional proctoring).
ITIL or PMP certification preferred. License and Certification Requirements:
Active Michigan state license or willingness to obtain.
BLS certification (or willingness to obtain).
Compliance with all employee health and COVID vaccination requirements.
