We are currently seeking a DevOps Lead to contribute to our mission in a dynamic startup environment.

The main responsibilities of a DevOps Lead include designing and implementing secure, automated infrastructure to support the development and deployment of complex software systems. In this role, you will lead the design of robust CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure platforms that meet the high reliability, traceability, and compliance standards required in aerospace applications. You will work closely with the development team, systems, and compliance teams to ensure that software is delivered in a repeatable, auditable, and scalable way. Ideal candidates will bring expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), container orchestration, and working knowledge of standards and models, including but not limited to CERT, MISRA, DO-178C, and CMMI. As the DevOps Lead, you will establish foundational tools, practices, and infrastructure, laying the groundwork for future growth and operational maturity within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and maintain secure, compliant CI/CD pipelines for mission-critical aerospace software

Implementing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) to enable consistent and traceable environments

Leading DevSecOps initiatives that integrate security, auditability, and compliance into the development lifecycle

Managing cloud and hybrid infrastructure deployments with AWS GovCloud

Implement seamless integration within the Atlassian Ecosystem (Jira, Bitbucket, and Bamboo)

Developing tools for monitoring and logging events and processes through CI/CD pipeline

Supporting aerospace standards through automation and rigorous traceability

Collaborating with embedded software, mission control, and systems engineering teams

Ensure system reliability, observability, and efficient incident response

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in computer science, software engineering, or related role

5+ years in DevOps or related role

2+ years of technical leadership experience

Experience with Atlassian Bamboo Data Center

Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)

Experience with software configuration management-related tools

Hands-on experience with AWS GovCloud

Knowledgeable in Java, Python, and Bash

Experience in high-reliability or safety-critical environments

Understanding of secure software delivery practices

Strong knowledge of system monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.

Self-motivated, focused, and driven to meet critical deadlines

Excellent organization and time management skills

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Background in aerospace or defense software development

Experience with implementing various aerospace software standards with CI/CD process

Familiarity with the CMMI model

Experience with embedded software or real-time system deployments

Certification in AWS cloud platform

Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies

Familiarity with GitOps workflows

Experience supporting software safety certification or compliance efforts.

Background in software development or systems engineering
