Job Title: AI Engineer

Location: Remote (with occasional travel to Iselin, NJ, Charlotte, NC, or Chandler, AZ – must be within 100 miles of one location)

Duration: 12 Month contract with possible extension

Visa: USC/GC only (W2 only)

Interview: Video Interview

NOTE: Local candidates only – must be within 100 miles of one of the listed office locations. Occasional in-office meetings required (approximately once per month). No relocation.

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled AI Engineer to join our client, Wells Fargo, and contribute to cutting-edge initiatives involving Large Language Models (LLMs) and Natural Language Processing (NLP). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with LLMs (any model is acceptable), AI/ML systems, and solid programming skills, particularly in Python (Java or .NET also acceptable).

This role requires experience with both traditional and AI-driven development, and familiarity with building intelligent agents, IDE extensions/integrations, and enterprise-grade AI solutions. A strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) is essential.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Hands-on experience with LLMs (GPT, BERT, etc. – any model is acceptable)

Strong background in Natural Language Processing (NLP)

Proficiency in Python (Java/.NET acceptable as alternatives)

AI/ML experience in both traditional and modern development environments

Experience building agents, MCP components, or IDE extensions/integrations

Solid understanding of SDLC and enterprise AI system design
