Full Time Truck Body Builder

$70,000 - $80,000 + Superannuation

Duties and Responsibilities

Tasks of a Truck Body Builder include fabricating, and welding components as required and finishing of steel parts to truck bodies. Using various hand and power tools to complete a task as required by management for fabrication of new or replacement parts for dump trucks, trailers and wheel wash units.

• Interpret drawings to manufacture steel bodies

• Able to cut and shape aluminium using cutting and folding machines

• Welding and finishing of steel parts to truck bodies

• Welding of steel and create truck bodies

• Grinding of steel to clean up welds

• Fabrication of steel headboards

• Fitting handles and other componentry to bodies

• Fabrication of new or replacement parts for dump trucks, trailers and wheel wash unit

Qualification and Experience

• Minimum 2 years experience in truck body building or similar trade.
