The role of the Emergency DepartmentGreeterplays a crucial role in creating a welcoming and organized environment for patients, families, and visitors.
Responsibilities
Make exceptional guest experiences the priority in every interaction
Contribute to a safe environment for all guests and employees per company and site-specific guidelines
Make patient service, care, and satisfaction the priority in every interaction by providing exceptional guest experiences.
Interact with patients and other staff to ensure a safe visit.
Obtain and input patient demographic information for registration
Assistpatient in paperwork including but not limited tohealth care proxy, consent forms, and Medicarerights
Provide patients with financial releases
Look out for the safety and well-being of all employees, customers, and co-workers
Report all incidents in accordance withcompany policies
Perform any other duties specifically assigned by a supervisor or managerwhen necessary.
Candidates must be compliant with hospital occupational health, including but not limited to, a Covid-19 vaccine
Qualifications:
Years of Experience:Entry Level
Language in English both verbally and written
Education Requirements: High School Diploma/GED
Ability to read, write and verbally communicate in English
Ability to effectively maneuver around various locations both inside and outside while engaging in, bending, prolonged standing, running, and prolonged sitting and in all weather conditions
Ability to receive medical and security clearance for one or more locations
Possess the manual dexterity to operateessential office equipment, including computers and cash registers
Possess the mental acuity to be able to process cash and manual transactions
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and push a minimum of 200 pounds
Be at least 18 years of age
Maintain uniform standards onsite
Organization and strong problem-solving abilities
