Monday-Thursday Live-In Nanny - Upper East Side

A sweet family on the Upper East Side is seeking a nanny to assist with care of their two young sons, ages 4 and 2. The schedule for this role is Monday at 8am through Thursday at 6pm. The nanny will live-in during this time and should have their own accommodation to return to on their days off. The children typically sleep from 7pm-7am, but the nanny will be on-call overnight. Accommodations for this role are a bedroom on a separate side of the apartment, and a bathroom that is shared with the other nanny when she's on duty.

Responsibilities

All aspects of childcare for two toddlers including mealtimes, nap times, and hygiene routines

Keeping the monitor overnight (3 nights per week)

Working as a team with another nanny who works the alternating shift and will overlap 2 days/week.

Child related laundry and organization

Basic cooking for the children

Packing for and unpacking from travel

Keeping inventory of children's supplies and purchasing when necessary

Basic errands as needed

Planning developmentally appropriate activities and outings

Qualifications

Adaptable- able to go with the flow and handle a dynamic schedule

Proactive- looking ahead to plan for future trips and needs

Team-oriented (willing to pitch in to assist the other nanny and the housekeeper)

Engaging and creative with children

Comfort with a work from home mom

Active and able to keep up with two young boys

Requirements

Experience working with two toddler simultaneously

US work authorization

Driver's license is required

Swimming is NOT required but is a huge plus

Comfortable working around pets (the family has a small dog)

Some flexibility to cover for the other nanny, which will be reciprocated

Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally if needed (typically the other nanny travels with the family)

Ability to work longer shifts during the summer in order to live-in at a second home, alternating with the other nanny

Salary and Benefits

30-35/hr.+ DOE

PTO and paid holidays
