Mechanical Service Technician

Job Description

As our Ozone Laundry Technician, you will be trained and certified to represent the company working in a commercial laundry and chemical environment. We will rely on you to install and provide service maintenance on products on-site at NuTek customers’ facilities. Our customers are primarily Hospitality/Hotels with an On Premises Laundry, although we are also in fitness centers, hospitals, and healthcare facilities.. We are seeking a mechanical/electrical background and high level of customer service; someone able to interact with all levels of management and vendors.

Responsibilities:

Maintain interest in sustainability and green technologies

Keep ozone equipment operational by completing maintenance and repair in response to service calls

Complete Annual Preventative Maintenance on ozone equipment

Follow manufacturer's instructions and established procedures

Update existing database of all customers to include serial numbers, date of installations and maintenance history for each customer location

Provide NuTek's ozone-friendly chemical formulas to customer’s chemical vendor

Complete projects by explaining to laundry and maintenance personnel how the system works and why it is an important to conserve water and energy.

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years’ experience in an mechanical/electrical/plumbing field, ideally with an understanding of pneumatics and willingness to learn a proven technology.

Mechanical inclination and ability to understand inner workings of washer/extractors

Computer skills required for email, follow up and maintaining travel calendar

Good verbal and written communication skills

Positive attitude/team player

Ability to learn about ozone and how it interacts with chemicals used in commercial laundries

Interest and ability to travel by car and by air to customer locations in the USA

Ability to interact professionally with all levels of laundry/hotel personnel

Highly conscientious about completed work/product

Preferred Experience:

Experience maintaining equipment in commercial laundries

Experience installing chemicals to wash machines in commercial laundries
