About the role

The Marketing group at Imperial Business School invites applications for a faculty position in Marketing at any rank (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor). We welcome candidates from all areas of marketing research, including (but not limited to) empirical modelling, analytical modelling, consumer behaviour, and strategy.

This is an open rank position, and we encourage applications from both early-career scholars and experienced faculty.

Located in the heart of London, Imperial Business School offers an attractive research environment and competitive salaries, and an interdisciplinary marketing group with a strong track record of publishing in top-tier journals in marketing and related fields (e.g., Marketing Science, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Consumer Research, Quantitative Marketing and Economics, Journal of Marketing, etc.).

What you would be doing

Early-career candidates should demonstrate exceptional potential and passion for research, as evidenced by a strong job market paper and a promising pipeline. Candidates at more advanced stages (Advanced Assistant, Associate, or Full Professors) are expected to have an established record of impactful research and publications in leading journals to commensurate with the level of appointment. Those appointed at the Full Professor level will also be expected to take on key service and leadership responsibilities within the School.

What we are looking for

You will be able to demonstrate the following:

A Ph.D. in marketing or related field (completed by the start of the appointment to the position).

Have a developing/ established national/ international reputation and expertise in the field of marketing (commensurate with the career stage)

Strong job market paper

Promising research pipeline

Ability to teach marketing courses

Have experience of training Undergraduate and Postgraduate students

Have experience of supervision of higher degrees (PhD)

The closing date for applications is 03 September 2025. Applicants who enter into the initial shortlist will be interviewed over a video call in September. Those shortlisted further will complete an interview on our campus in London in autumn. The position commences in the 2026-2027 academic year (targeted start date of September 2026).
