Job Summary

The Continuous Improvement Partner drives operational excellence across the Mekong Area by supporting Transport by Maersk (TbM) delivery teams. The role anchors structured problem-solving, project prioritization, and change readiness to deliver measurable improvements in efficiency, quality, and productivity.

Acting as a strategic partner to TbM leaders and their teams, the role fosters a culture of continuous improvement through the adoption of best practices, proven methodologies, and digital enablers. Success in this role requires strong cross-functional collaboration, analytical rigor, and a hands-on approach to embedding sustainable change.

Responsibilities:

Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence

Collaborate with Area TbM leaders and operational teams to identify and prioritize high-impact process improvement opportunities.

Lead or support end-to-end delivery of improvement initiatives using structured methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or DMAIC.

Conduct gap assessments, root cause analyses (RCA), and value stream mapping to define improvement roadmaps.

Develop business cases, benefit tracking models, and implementation plans for improvement projects.

Monitor execution, mitigate risks, and ensure sustainability of outcomes.

Capability Building & Change Enablement

Provide coaching and support to frontline teams and team leads in applying CI tools and methodologies.

Facilitate training workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions on continuous improvement practices.

Support change management efforts to improve adoption of new processes, systems, and behaviors.

Act as a change champion, positively influencing mindsets and engagement across functions.

Performance Measurement & Reporting

Support the definition, implementation, and tracking of KPIs that reflect performance improvements and process health.

Build dashboards and visual management tools to ensure transparency and accountability.

Conduct regular reviews with stakeholders to assess progress and adjust action plans as needed.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Act as a bridge between departments (Operations, Finance, Product, Technology, etc.) to drive alignment and remove blockers to execution.

Facilitate structured workshops and project gate reviews with key stakeholders.

Promote standardization, scalability, and digitalization of best practices across the Mekong Area.

Strategic Alignment & Innovation

Contribute to the Area CI strategy and project pipeline development in coordination with functional and program leaders.

Stay informed on industry benchmarks, emerging technologies, and innovation opportunities relevant to logistics and supply chain.

Bring external perspective and fresh thinking to challenge the status quo and spark continuous learning.

What we are looking for:

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.

3–7 years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or financial operations.

Proven track record in delivering continuous improvement projects (Lean, Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred).

Experience facilitating cross-functional workshops, managing stakeholders, and implementing sustainable process changes.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.

Familiarity with project management principles (Agile, PMP, or PRINCE2 certification a plus).
