Machine Operator Lamination

Job Summary:

Giesecke+Devrient, a world-leader in engineering trusted security technologies, has an excellent opportunity for a Machine Operator in our Finishing Department at the Bolingbrook plant. This 1st Shift role is scheduled for Monday – Friday 5:30am - 1:30pm with required overtime in peak seasons scheduled for Monday – Friday 3:30am - 1:30pm.

Duties & Essential Job Functions:

Understand the complete operation of the machine.

Load materials in the order of utilization.

Refer to job specifications and previous run data to set machine parameters.

Maintain safety by following Lockout/Tag-out procedures before machine maintenance.

Meet or exceed job standards for line speeds, scrap, and setup times.

Load and unload stock and maintain department inventory.

Collaborate with the Quality Assurance department to ensure product specification compliance.

Keep your work area and equipment clean.

Conduct thorough inspections and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.

Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on equipment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Minimum 6 months of experience operating production equipment in a manufacturing environment.

Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions in English.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform precision hand movements.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand for extended periods.

Visual acuity correctable to 20/20; normal color vision required.

Able to reason through mechanical setup and operational issues independently.

Must pass a background check and drug screening.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements:

Frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, twisting, and stooping.

Regular lifting of 15 lbs; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.

Manual dexterity for computer and machine operation.

Consistent attendance, including required overtime, is essential.

The pay for this position is $16.00 - $18.00 per hour and is eligible for an annual bonus.
