Position Overview

The Maintenance Manager will oversee the maintenance operations within the food manufacturing facility, ensuring all equipment and machinery are in optimal working condition. This role is key to maintaining production efficiency, adhering to USDA standards, and managing a team of maintenance technicians to uphold safety and quality standards in meat production.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities to ensure minimal downtime of production equipment.

Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to enhance equipment reliability.

Lead a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.

Ensure compliance with USDA regulations and safety standards in all maintenance operations.

Manage maintenance budgets, procurement of parts, and inventory control.

Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions in a timely manner.

Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance without disrupting operations.

Qualifications

Proven experience in maintenance supervision or management within the food manufacturing industry, preferably with a focus on meat processing.

Strong knowledge of USDA regulations and standards related to food safety and equipment maintenance.

Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of maintenance professionals.

Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.

Strong communication and organizational skills.
