Due to significant growth, our client, a leading supplier of building materials and products, is looking to add a detail-oriented and organized Project Manager to their team.
In this key role, you'll plan and oversee projects from start to finish, managing resources, budgets, and timelines to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. You'll monitor progress, keep stakeholders informed, and drive results that align with the company's Mission, Vision, and Values. Required skills and qualifications:
University degree or college diploma in a related field, or equivalent work experience, with a Project Management, Construction Technician/Technologist or Architectural Engineering Certificate/Diploma or 2-3 years of Project Coordination / Management experience
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ability to interpret architectural drawings
Familiarity with building code requirements, including life safety, security, electronics, and fire codes
Strong negotiation and communication skills
High attention to detail and analytical problem-solving abilities
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage shifting priorities in a high-pressure environment
Strong project management and process improvement skills
Goal-oriented and results-driven with strong commitment and accountability
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong mathematical aptitude
Duties may include but are not limited to:
Oversee material detailing and submittal processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Leverage product expertise to suggest alternative solutions that meet project needs
Coordinate material sourcing and ordering, prioritizing timely delivery and cost-effective freight options
Manage scheduling, shipping, and installation of materials, outsourcing freight and installation as needed
Collaborate with accounting to ensure accurate and prompt billing, and assist with collections and issue resolution
Conduct post-project reviews to identify areas for improvement and optimize processes
Maximize project profitability through value-added selling, change order management, and prompt issue resolution
Deliver exceptional customer service, building relationships with industry partners and stakeholders
Communicate effectively with general contractors, responding to project changes and issuing change orders in a timely manner
Resolve disputes with contractors promptly, using inspection, discussion, and decision-making to reach resolutions
Perform other duties as assigned

Salary: $60,000 to $80,000 per year depending on experience
Work schedule: Monday to Friday – 7:00am to 4:00pm
