Rate: $61hr

Overtime: Not expected

Work Setting: Hybrid (in-office T/W/T)

Work Type: 12mo contract to hire (strong potential to convert to FTE)

Location Preference: Columbus, OH

Candidate Requirements: Must be local to Columbus and US Citizen or GC Holder

Job Summary:

This role will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to understand requirements, design solutions, and implement features using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and integrations. This is a hands-on development role with a focus on solution design, quality, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Partner with business stakeholders to gather and interpret requirements into technical specifications.

Design and develop Salesforce solutions in collaboration with the Solutions Architect.

Write clean, efficient, and scalable code using Apex, Visualforce, and LWC.

Implement and manage Salesforce APIs (REST/SOAP) for system integrations.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to maintain system reliability.

Evaluate and recommend solutions using out-of-the-box features, custom code, or AppExchange products.

Participate in Agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, 3-Amigos, etc.).

Ensure adherence to QA, change management, and documentation standards.

Stay current on Salesforce releases and apply new features where appropriate.

Collaborate with internal IT and business partners to align on architecture strategies and roadmap planning.

Provide estimates for level of effort and contribute to project planning.

Required Skills & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

4+ years of Salesforce development experience, including Apex, Visualforce, LWC

Strong understanding of Salesforce configuration, customization, and data modeling

Experience building and integrating APIs (REST/SOAP)

Familiarity with Salesforce best practices and common design patterns

Experience with Agile methodologies, Jira, and GitHub

Strong communication and collaboration skills, both technical and non-technical

Preferred Certifications:

Salesforce Platform Developer I & II

Salesforce Certified Administrator

Salesforce App Builder

Consultant Certifications (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud)
